The 2016 Peter Michael Winery Belle Côte Estate Chardonnay (bel kote), French for “beautiful slope”, was named by Sir Peter after the famous ski run in Courchevel, France. This wine is produced from the oldest of four Peter Michael estate Chardonnay vineyards. Belle Côte exemplifies how consistently these mountain vineyard sites produce exceptionally high quality Chardonnay.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
The nose is distinctly intense and powerfully hedonistic with aromas of lychee nut, rose petal and orange blossom, with a background of mineral, candied orange, yellow peach, greengage, nougat, whole nut and toasted almond. Accents of pain grillé, honey, almond, brioche and hazelnut, coupled with crisp natural acidity and minerals complete the mouth feel. Creamy and weighty on the mouth, the palate is rich and seamless.
Wine Information:
Blend: 100% Estate Chardonnay
