The 2017 Les Pavots (ley-pah-voh) is produced from grapes grown on the slopes on Mount St. Helena. Les Pavots translates from French to “the Poppies” for which Lady Michael named this vineyard after the wild California poppies which grow on the mountainside.

Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Near black ruby color and deep ruby rim. The nose reveals a sophisticated bouquet of fresh leather, morel mushroom, vanilla bean, black fruit, cherry, blackberry, blueberry coulis, and a stylish ‘garrigue’ touch. Full-bodied and elegant, with a dense, round and seemless mouth feel, supported by supple tannins, and subtle mineral accents leading to a long finish.

Wine Information:

Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot
Aged 18 months in 100% French oak barrels from select artisan coopers
Bottled unfined and unfiltered
