Peter Michael Winery is proud to join a collective of over 2,300 vineyards and 140 wineries that are certified as a California Sustainable Vineyard and Winery. The certification emphasizes integrating sustainability into three primary areas: vineyard, winery, and community, and it includes a vast range of practices from water and energy efficiency, soil health, and waste management to respecting wildlife habitat, neighbors, and employees.
Since the discovery of this beautiful ranch in 1982, the Michaels have continued to adhere to the founding values of protecting the natural environment. It is an honor to have our commitment recognized and join the community movement to ensure the impact of winegrowing remains mindful of preserving the land.
